Join a leading UK energy infrastructure provider working at the forefront of the transition to net zero. This organisation delivers end-to-end solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV infrastructure, metering, and home decarbonisation.
This role sits within the Distribution and Connections division, one of the largest Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) in the UK. The team installs and maintains distribution networks, ensuring reliable connections for customers by delivering electrical planned works, customer connections, and network reinforcement.
We are expanding our portfolio with UK Power Networks and seeking a Contracts Manager to lead cabling and other exciting new workstreams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently in a Contracts Manager role who is ready to embrace growth and achieve new personal and professional successes.
What you'll be doing
Spearhead project delivery across diverse infrastructure workstreams.
Build strong client relationships to secure ongoing and future works.
Represent the company in high-level discussions with clients and stakeholders.
Lead bidding activity in collaboration with estimating and tender teams.
Provide robust commercial and programme support.
Guide and develop your team, ensuring delivery excellence.
Champion innovation, compliance, safety, and quality across all projects.
Support framework-based delivery and apply knowledge of NEC contracts.
What you'll bring
Minimum of two years' experience as a Contracts Manager within a contracting environment.
Proven track record in securing and delivering large-scale capital projects.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage effective teams.
Commercially astute with a focus on safety and quality standards.
Extensive experience in capital delivery programmes (minimum five years).
Sound understanding of engineering policy, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to establish, monitor, and improve delivery processes.
Commitment to promoting inclusive and diverse working environments.
HV power engineering and cabling experience.
HNC/Degree in Engineering or NEBOSH Safety Management qualification (preferred but not mandatory).
Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel to project sites.
