Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead a high-profile hotel project in Central London. This is a site-based, hands-on role where you will act as the project’s No.1 on site, overseeing all aspects from enabling works through to project completion. The role requires someone capable of managing full project lifecycles on programme-heavy schemes, ensuring deadlines are met and standards are delivered to the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the project on site as the senior management figure, taking overall responsibility for delivery.
* Manage all stages of the project, from enabling works through to fit-out and completion.
* Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to budget.
* Monitor and maintain project programme, ensuring tight deadlines are adhered to.
* Manage contractual and commercial aspects of the project, including reporting to senior stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards across the project.
* Liaise with design, planning, and client teams to resolve technical or programme issues.
Person Specification
* Proven experience managing hotel projects, including fit-out, refurbishment, and groundworks.
* Full lifecycle project management experience – capable of taking schemes from start to finish.
* Experience delivering projects of £30–40 million+ in value.
* Strong site presence and leadership skills; able to manage multiple teams and disciplines on fast-paced projects.
* Comfortable working to tight schedules and programme-driven environments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Flexible and hands-on, with the ability to adapt to site requirements (typical hours 8am–4pm, with flexibility for extended days).
