Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead and manage a hard services engineering team across a high-profile contract in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management (FM) with excellent leadership skills. This role requires a proactive and client-focused professional who can ensure service delivery excellence, statutory compliance, and team development while maintaining operational and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services in line with SLAs and KPIs.
*
Manage and support a team of multi-skilled engineers and supervisors, ensuring performance, development, and compliance with company and client standards.
*
Act as the primary point of contact for the client, fostering a positive and collaborative working relationship.
*
Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
*
Oversee budget control, forecasting, and reporting for the contract; manage subcontractors and procurement.
*
Drive continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and innovation across the site’s engineering services.
*
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and performance reviews.
*
Ensure asset lifecycle management, condition reporting, and technical documentation are up to date.
*
Manage technical projects or minor works as required, including scoping, pricing, and delivery..
Qualifications & Experience
*
Demonstrable experience in a Contract Manager, Account Manager, or similar leadership role within FM.
*
Proven track record in managing budgets, operational delivery, and client relationships.
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
*
Experience in CAFM systems and producing technical/operational reports.
