Contract Supervisor Based in London
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Location: Leman Street & Mobile
Polyteck Building Services is seeking a proactive and technically capable Contract Supervisor to support Arbey in leading and coordinating operations within the Mechanical Department. The role ensures that all planned and reactive maintenance works are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. This includes providing technical assistance to engineers, maintaining client relationships, ensuring compliance documentation is up to date, and driving service quality across multiple sites.
Principal Responsibilities
Operational & Technical Oversight
- Ensure all works under the contract are completed in line with SFG20, manufacturer recommendations, and HVAC service standards.
- Provide technical assistance and site-level fault resolution to engineers.
- Monitor work quality, compliance, and completion prior to job close-out.
- Assist with labour planning, scheduling, and coordinating equipment/material requirements.
Reactive & PPM Management
- Ensure reactive callouts are responded to promptly and resolved to client satisfaction.
- Oversee completion of PPM tasks and ensure accurate documentation and follow-up works where required.
- Audit and maintain site logbooks, asset registers, compliance folders, and plant room documentation.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, and subcontractors to manage expectations and deliver clear updates.
- Report site issues, operational concerns, and progress updates to the Contract Manager and Directors as required.
- Maintain strong working relationships to support service continuity and contract retention.
Personal Conduct & Leadership
- Lead engineers and apprentices by example, demonstrating professionalism, initiative, - and strong work ethic.
- Mentor and support team members, promoting skills growth and accountability.
- Represent the company positively and act as a key point of operational leadership.

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience supervising building services, FM, or HVAC maintenance contracts.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Confident in diagnosing faults and supporting engineers with technical solutions.
- Strong communication, reporting, and organisational skills.
- IT competent (Excel, Word, email, CAFM systems).
