Contracts Administrator – Landscaping or Construction Salary £26,000 to £28,000 Plymouth Permanent The team at this successful and dynamic Landscaping company are hugely successful to the extent that they are running ahead of their administration skills! They need a calm and methodical Coordinator / Administrator to organise them and ensure that all their landscaping projects are on track. The Job: Your prime function will be to ensure that the Operational Teams on site have all the materials and resources that they need to complete their Landscaping projects, on time and on budget. The company use spreadsheets to plan these activities and you will need to have a good understanding of Excel. Commercial: You will support the Contracts Managers to ensure that materials and services are sourced that the most competitive prices, reviewing costs and local deals to achieve this. You will be responsible for the timely ordering of materials to ensure that the projects programmes are achieved. You will also review monthly revenue and cost budgets and identify any variations as soon as possible. Communication: You will be an important point of contact for the Clients and the Operational Teams and coordinate communications, ensuring that the highest levels of customer service are maintained. Programming: Together with the Senior Contracts Manager you will review monthly programs and schedules, helping to ensure that all projects are proceeding to plan. Accounts: You will support the Accounts and HR department to ensure the accurate transfer of all invoicing, orders and payroll information. The Person: You will have experience in an Administration or Coordinators role within either Landscaping or Construction. Also; * Have a reasonable understanding of finance, budgets and variances. * Have some experience in working to the requirement and terms of a tender * Have a knowledge of construction site operations, documentation and H&S * Have experience in purchasing and hire of materials, plant and machinery * Have a good degree of Computer Literacy, in particular MS Excel. * Be organised with good time management and attention to detail. * Good communication skills and a confident, professional telephone manner
