With over 30 years of experience and a national delivery model, they work in close partnership with public and private sector clients to safeguard the built environment through high-quality fire-stopping, fire door installation and remediation, and compartmentation services.
As a third-party accredited contractor (FIRAS, BM TRADA), they pride themselves on technical excellence, operational integrity, and full compliance with the evolving legislative landscape, including the Building Safety Act and the Golden Thread of information.

Location: Based in East Midlands (M1 corridor) - National
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Car/ car allowance + Package

As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly capable and motivated Contracts Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of multiple passive fire protection projects across residential, healthcare, education, and commercial property portfolios.
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Contracts Manager will take full responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of fire protection contracts from pre-construction through to completion and client handover. You will be the key operational link between site teams, commercial staff, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring all work is delivered in line with agreed scope, timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
This role requires a proactive, technically knowledgeable leader with outstanding communication and commercial skills, capable of managing complex, multi-site programmes in live environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end delivery of fire protection contracts, including fire-stopping, fire doors, and compartmentation works, ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and third-party accreditation standards.
Lead and coordinate site supervisors, operatives, and approved subcontractors across multiple projects, ensuring resource planning aligns with delivery targets.
Attend pre-start meetings, develop construction phase plans, and support the creation of RAMS.
Ensure consistent quality through robust site inspections, audit trails, QA documentation, and digital compliance tools.
Act as primary client liaison throughout the contract lifecycle, delivering clear communication, progress updates, and resolutions to technical or logistical challenges.
Monitor contract performance against programme, scope, and budget-producing regular reports, cost forecasts, and risk assessments for internal and client review.
Collaborate closely with the commercial team to support valuations, variations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety, quality, and compliance across all delivery teams.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation, technical standards, and industry best practices, ensuring ongoing adherence to regulatory obligations.
Candidate Requirements
Demonstrable experience as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Project Manager) in the fire protection, building safety, or construction sector.
In-depth technical understanding of passive fire protection systems and associated British Standards.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire performance across dispersed teams.
Proven ability to manage high-value, multi-site contracts in live environments, such as hospitals, social housing, or occupied commercial buildings.
Familiarity with third-party certification schemes (FIRAS, BM TRADA, IFC) and their operational requirements.
Sound commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret contract documents, support valuations, and manage variations.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally.
Desirable:
FIRAS or BM TRADA Supervisor or Manager Certification.
SMSTS, NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent safety qualifications.
Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Act.
