Contracts Manager
Waltham Cross
£61,000 - £68,000 plus car/car allowance
We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our Civil Engineering clients. The role will be based in Waltham Cross and covers schemes across London and the South East and comes with a salary between £61k -£68k plus car/car allowance.
Responsibilities for Contracts Manager
Lead civil engineering schemes from Early Design Involvement (EDI) through to completion- regeneration schemes, junction improvements, energy and rail
Play a strategic role in the planning and development phases of each scheme
Oversee site teams and supply chain partners, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution
Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team and clients to shape and influence project programmes during EDI
Manage contractual programmes and work closely with the commercial team to maintain accurate cost forecasting
Mentor and develop team members through coaching and structured training
Ensure timely procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors to meet project milestones
Support the Operations Manager in identifying and securing future opportunities across the regionRequirements for Contracts Manager
Proven experience delivering multiple civil engineering schemes or leading a major highways project
A relevant qualification in civil engineering (preferred but not essential)
Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract frameworks
