Job Descripti Contracts Manager Industry: Construction (Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Residential sectors) Contract Type: Permanent Summary: We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager based in the East Midlands or Northampton area to join a well-established, privately owned regional construction company. The successful candidate will manage contracts across a diverse portfolio including education, healthcare, commercial, and residential projects, covering both new build and refurbishment works. Typical project values range from £500,000 to £8 million, with responsibility for overseeing 2 to 3 projects simultaneously. The role involves managing contracts within various frameworks, ideally with experience on SCAPE or similar frameworks across the East Midlands. You will be responsible for ensuring contract compliance, managing risk, overseeing commercial performance, and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The salary for this position is £60,000 - £65,000 per annum. Skills: Proven experience in contract management within construction Experience of managing multiple projects Knowledge of framework agreements, ideally SCAPE or similar Strong commercial and financial management skills Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Excellent negotiation and communication skills Risk management and dispute resolution expertise Understanding of new build and refurbishment project delivery Stakeholder and client relationship management Knowledge of construction procurement and contract law Strong organisational and leadership abilities Software/Tools: Common contract management and project tracking software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Certifications & Standards: Relevant construction or contract management qualifications preferred Familiarity with NEC, JCT, or other standard construction contracts Health & Safety awareness SMSTS on not available - reach out to contact
