Job Description

A leading multi-national business are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager based in Rugeley (hybrid working) on a fulltime permanent basis. The Contracts Manager will be responsible to take the lead on commercial aspects in key tenders, preparing quotations, contracts, contractual agreements and negotiations. To ensure commercial management throughout the lifecycle of the contracts from receipt of enquiry until receipt of final payment from the customer and close-down activities. Proven experience within a commercial/contract management role is essential, all industry experience will be considered. Role -Contracts Manager Type - Permanent position Location - Rugeley, Staffordshire (hybrid working) Salary - Competitive (DOE) Key roles and responsibilities for Contracts Manager role and will not be limited to: Evaluate and prepare responses to customer enquiries and Invitations to Tender Negotiate contracts with UK/overseas commercial customers Maximise opportunities within payment plans to maintain/improve working capital when negotiating contract terms Advise Purchasing Department on the flow-down of contract conditions to sub-contractors Advise Programme Managers on all contractual aspects and provide assistance to ensure cost effective delivery of programmes Advise and support project team on all contractual matters to meet delivery timescales Draft contract documentation and agreements of a contractual nature (joint venture, partnership, confidentiality, consultancy, software licences, etc) Support trade compliance, import/export activities Liaise with customers at all levels in relation to existing and new business, e.g. terms & conditions, contracts, proposals, invoicing Invoicing and payment in conjunction with Finance Department Resolve payment disputes effectively Mitigation of contractual financial liabilities Protection of company cash-flow position Key skills and experience required for Contracts Manager job applicant and not limited to: Previous experience within a commercial contract management role Experience in contract negotiation and the commercial management of supply contracts Knowledge of industrial/commercial conditions of contract and procedures A high level of commercial awareness Ability to promote and encourage a culture of teamwork Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organisation To apply for this Commercial Contracts Manager / Contracts Manager / Commercial Contract Manager / Contract Manager position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
