Overview
I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run construction business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and roofing projects across London and the South East.
Our client is looking for an experienced Contracts Supervisor to oversee and deliver roofing projects from start to finish. This role requires a strong focus on quality, safety, programme delivery, and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising subcontractors and site teams, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards, and maintaining smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage contracts from receipt of order through to completion
* Plan projects, allocate resources, and set up sites effectively
* Supervise and brief subcontractors, staff, and site operatives
* Monitor daily progress, resolve issues, and report to management
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
* Produce and maintain accurate records, reports, and site inspections
* Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain subcontractor compliance
* Uphold high standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism on site
* Communicate effectively with clients and provide updates as required
* Support accurate reporting for payments, claims, and snag-free project delivery
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience supervising construction or roofing contracts
* Strong working knowledge of health & safety compliance
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage subcontractors and resources efficiently
* Effective communicator with strong client-facing skills
* Hands-on approach with flexibility to assist in site logistics if needed
