We're recruiting on behalf of a business in the Sheffield area that are looking to increase their engineering team with a Combustion and control engineer. This business have grown year on year and have invested heavily in their manufacturing facility and have ambitious plans to replicate this.
This is working days with a salary of £40,000 min per year.
Responsibilities
* Carry out both reactive and proactive maintenance activities. This includes work on various types of Furnaces.
* Carrying out mandatory compliance activities to support operations
* You will be required to understand electrical and control systems such as PLCs.
* Take part in the development, creation and implementation of PPM schedules
Skills:
* A relevant vocational qualification e.g. NVQ,ONC, HNC, HND, C&G or an appropriate apprenticeship.
* Experience of furnace mechanics and their control systems.
* Experience of control logic, PLCs and PID theory.
* Experience within a medium to heavy manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
