Job Description

Control & Instrumentation Engineer Location - Chester Are you a C&I Engineer with a background specifying or designing control systems? Would you like to work for a high-tech Engineering company who offers exceptional benefits? Then this could be the role for you. Benefits you'll get: • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays • 2 days working from home each week • Company performance bonus • Individual Private Healthcare • One additional day-off every 4 weeks • Company Sick Pay • Defined contribution pension scheme (up to 16%) • Life Assurance x 7 times annual salary What will you be doing? • You'll focus on the provision of C&I design deliverables to projects and discrete work packages in the nuclear industry. • You'll produce detailed technical specifications, including equipment functional specifications and control system logic specifications • You'll generate specifications and logic simulation programs for control system designs and simulation of control system performance • You'll generate specifications for control system hardware • You'll work with subcontractors, checking and approval of detail design drawing • You'll check suppliers' test specifications and also attend FAT's Where will you be doing it? You'll be working for a global high-tech company who designs, ‎manufactures and installs specialist equipment within the Nuclear Industry. What will you need? • You'll have experience specifying or designing control systems for a range of applications • Experience supervising the provision of design information by subcontractors • PLC hardware requirements including I/O capability, network communications and power supply requirements • Instrumentation design including measurement range, measurement techniques, accuracy and EMC compatibility • Knowledge of PLC programming requirements and standard We appreciate that your CV may not be up to date.
