Job Description
Control Room Technician HV Commissioning required for major Offshore Wind Farm developer to be based in Germany.
Responsibilities
High Voltage Operations & Switching.
Control Room & Grid Operations.
Fault Analysis & Support.
Train Client Operators to achieve switching authorization.
Plan, execute, and oversee HV/MV switching, isolation, and energization in line with safety rules and commissioning procedures.
Monitor and control offshore/onshore substations and transmission assets via SCADA to ensure safe and reliable system operation.
Manage and investigate system faults or alarms, coordinate restoration, and provide technical support to resolve issues.
Assist in HV commissioning, system integration, testing, and ensure compliance with grid code and TSO requirements.Requirements
Several years' experience as an HV-Switcher / Switching Authorized Person in the offshore environment, ideally in the German sector.
Switching authorization for HV systems (minimum 66 kV, preferably up to 155 kV or higher) according to VDE 105.
Experience in remote operation during commissioning activities
Strong knowledge of HV Safety Rules (VDE 105, and ideally Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR).
Hands-on experience with HV-SCADA systems and protection/control technology.
Proven experience working with Permit to Work (PTW) systems for work authorization and plant responsibility release..
Experience with electronic maintenance and operational systems (MMS, EDL).
Resilient, safety-focused, and a strong team player in a critical environment.
Willingness to work shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.
Ideally proficient in German and English.
GWO trainings are desirable but not mandatory, with the appropriate skills, offshore assignments may be possible as part of commissioningBefore You Apply
