An established and growing engineering company is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join their automation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Controls Engineer who enjoys working on bespoke machinery, developing control systems, and being involved in projects from concept through to commissioning.

Role Responsibilities:
Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and motion control systems for automated machinery
Integrate control systems with distributed I/O and networked architectures
Support new machine builds, prototype development, and existing equipment
Program and integrate vision systems for inspection and measurement
Ensure machinery complies with safety standards and best practices
Produce technical documentation for build, testing, and customer handover
Provide on-site commissioning, fault finding, and customer support
Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers on project delivery
Contribute to continuous improvement and product development initiatives
The Person:
Experience working as a Controls Engineer within automation or special-purpose machinery
Strong PLC programming experience (Rockwell / Siemens or similar)
Knowledge of motion control systems and control architectures
Experience with HMI systems and industrial automation software
Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning and support
