Controls Engineer (Water Industry) Wells, Somerset £50,000 - £60,000 + Training + Progression + Pension Are you a Controls Engineer/Electrical Engineer or similar, ideally from a background in the Water Industry or similar, with a strong knowledge of Electrical Systems, looking to join a highly ambitious, rapidly growing company, offering top-of-the-line training as well as impressive career progression? In this role, the successful Controls Engineer or similar will be responsible for the design, and integration of the Controls Panels in Electrical Systems for Water Treatment Processes. You will also be responsible for the PLC programming as well as SCADA development, defining both software and hardware requirements, in addition to both troubleshooting and diagnostics of Control Systems. Also, you will be responsible for the commissioning and testing of Control Systems, defining test strategies, ensuring the project meets milestone dates. Finally, you will be responsible for ensuring you are in accordance with compliance and safety, as well as keeping accurate technical documentation, in addition to developing detailed design specifications, and lastly, providing technical advice/support to delivery/design/management teams etc.... The ideal Controls Engineer or similar will have previous experience in a Controls Engineer role as well as a strong knowledge of Electrical Systems. You will hold an 18th edition in addition to an HNC/HND and/or a degree in Engineering or equivalent. You will also hold a full, valid UK driver's license. Ideally, but not essentially, you will have a background in the Water Industry. You will also have a specific knowledge of PLC Programming and SCADA Development. You will be happy to travel to customer/client sites as and when needed. Finally, you will already hold/be able to obtain Security Clearance.
