Job Description
OLG Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Controls and Software Engineer. This is a full time permanent contract based in Grimsby or Leicester.
Salary: £50 - £70k DOE
Responsibility
The Controls & Software Engineer will work in collaboration with the Electrical Director to scope and develop solutions for automation activities to ensure that production targets are met and quality of product is maintained.
Job Activities:
* Scope: To research, review and identify solutions and activities associated with customer requirements to ensure efficient and effective job completion. This might include site surveys and reporting of recommendations.
* Development: To develop solutions in line with clients’ needs regarding control and automation through software solutions for plant and equipment.
* Coordinate: Working closely with Electrical Department, Director and other stakeholders, schedule, plan and execute all work activities in line with the client’s requirements.
* Commissioning: Undertake checks and reviews of work completed and prepare handover documents as required.
It is expected that the person fulfilling this role will:
* Continually review and develop working practices and processes to ensure profitability in all we do
* Always maintain a professional image, whether this being on site, in the workshops or otherwise
* Promote long term success of the business through positive approach to finishing works to a high standard and that positive relationships are maintained with all stakeholders.
* To utilise the company, work procedures effectively ensuring all documentation, data and stakeholder needs are met.
* Keep up to date with new technological developments and undertake CPD as required.
* Undertake training and development in line with business needs
