Cook – £13 per hour
Location: Alvechurch, B48
Hours: 6 shifts across 2 weeks (including 2 weekend shifts)
Shift Pattern: 8am – 4pm
Contract: Permanent, Part-time
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our friendly team at our 18-bed care home in Birmingham (B48). You’ll play an important role in ensuring our residents enjoy freshly prepared, nutritious meals every day.
You will be responsible for:

Preparing and cooking high-quality, balanced meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
*
Serving meals and refreshments in a warm and caring manner.
*
Checking and accounting for all goods delivered, ensuring quality and accuracy.
*
Maintaining excellent hygiene standards and adhering to all food safety regulations.
*
Working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
*
Attending statutory and in-house training sessions.
*
Undertaking other kitchen duties as required to support smooth daily operations.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

An experienced Cook, ideally with experience in a care home or similar environment.
*
Passionate about providing nutritious, well-presented meals.
*
Knowledgeable in food hygiene and safety standards.
*
Able to prioritise, work efficiently, and use their own initiative.
*
A team player with a positive, caring attitude.
Please note: The home is not accessible by public transport, so applicants must live locally or have access to their own transport.
