Care Home Cook - Fresh Homemade Food | Brampton
We are looking for a caring and experienced Cook to join a friendly care home in Brampton, preparing fresh homemade meals for a small group of residents.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about creating nutritious, delicious food that supports the health and wellbeing of elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook fresh homemade meals daily for residents
Plan balanced menus tailored to dietary needs and preferences
Cater for specialist diets including soft foods, diabetic-friendly, and low-salt meals
Bake homemade cakes, desserts, and snacks
Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
Manage food ordering, stock control, and kitchen organisation
Ensure meals are enjoyable, comforting, and well-presented Requirements:
Previous cooking experience, ideally in a care home, school, or similar setting
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs for older adults
Food Hygiene Certificate
Organised, reliable, and compassionate nature
