Seeking a Cook looking for their next challenge!

You will be joining the team at a reputable care home. Preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals for approximately 40 residents while ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality.

Offering competitive hourly rates of £17-£18 per hour based on skill and experience.

The main hours worked are 08:30-13:30, shifts are flexible throughout the week.

We welcome motivated cooks who are:

Able to work within a team and independently
Able to work confidently in busy or unfamiliar kitchens
Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
Strong communicators who work well under pressure
Knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene procedures
Cooking experience, preferably in a care, healthcare, or catering environment 
Caring and attentive approach to residents' needs. 

Your role may include but not be limited to:

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary needs.
Follow food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Monitor food stock and assist with ordering supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen.
Cater for special diets, allergies, and cultural preferences.
Ensure meals are served on time and to a high standard.
Step into short-notice temporary shifts with confidence
Meet uniform standards such as safety shoes, cleaned and ironed uniform
