Are you an experienced Cook with a passion for preparing fresh food, using seasonal and local produce?
Do you have a flair for making home-baked cakes?
Then this could be the job for you!
A stylish, destination café based in the Maws Craft Centre Courtyard in Jackfield near Telford. They serve a fantastic selection of food, including breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Home-baked cakes are a speciality.
This dog-friendly venue serves wholesome dishes using local and seasonal produce and can also cater for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan customers. The successful applicant will be joining a friendly and supportive team, serving lovely clientele in a busy environment.
Your duties as Cook:
Food preparation
Cooking and serving customers in a timely manner
Cooking breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea
Baking cakes
Stocking shelves and fridges
Stock rotation
General and deep cleaning
Serving customers with food and drinks if required
Washing up
Taking orders on the till
Other duties as required
Training as a Barista will be given
Skills and experience we’re looking for in a Cook:
Applicants must have experience in a similar environment
Qualified to Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene
Excellent knowledge of food allergens
Friendly and welcoming to customers
Able to take instructions and work under own initiative
Well-organised and an efficient team player
This is a part-time position every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday, approx. 14-21 hours a week. They will receive a salary of £12.21 per hour. A free lunch is available on days you are working, along with free onsite parking.
