Job Description

Absolute Law Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Associate (6yrs+ PQE) to join a highly regarded Corporate team in Guildford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Corporate Solicitor seeking the next step in their career. You will play a key role in advising a diverse client base on a broad range of corporate matters while enjoying high visibility both within the firm and in the wider market. The successful candidate will receive strong partner support, take an active role in business development, and contribute to the continued growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with partners and colleagues, you will advise on a wide range of corporate transactions and matters, including:

  * Mergers and acquisitions (M&A)

  * Venture capital investments

  * Spin-out transactions

  * General company law and corporate advisory work

You will also:

  * Draft and negotiate transaction documents and legal advice.

  * Manage transactions from instruction through to completion.

  * Liaise effectively with clients, counterparties and other advisers to ensure transactions progress smoothly.

  * Supervise and mentor junior team members.

  * Support and participate in business development and networking initiatives, helping to strengthen existing client relationships and generate new opportunities.

Skills & Experience

  * Qualified Solicitor (SRA) with 6yrs+ PQE.

  * A strong corporate law background gained within private practice.

  * Demonstrable experience leading transactions from start to finish.

  * Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.

  * Excellent drafting, technical and client relationship skills.

  * A proactive, commercially minded approach and a collaborative working style.

  * Previous business development experience is desirable.
