Senior Associate – Corporate Commercial
Location: Mayfair, London
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Are you a highly motivated Senior Corporate Solicitor or Corporate Commercial Associate with 7+ years PQE, ready to lead a corporate department? Join a prestigious Mayfair boutique specialising in high and ultra-high net worth clients.
This role offers responsibility for the full spectrum of corporate work, including M&A, joint ventures, private equity, venture capital, de-mergers, corporate governance, and complex commercial contracts. Exposure to high-net-worth clients, bespoke lending documentation, and cross-border matters enhances both profile and expertise.

Responsibilities:

Advise clients on corporate matters, M&A, joint ventures, private equity, and governance.

Manage all aspects of corporate transactions from inception to completion.
*
Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents: sale and purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, investment agreements, and ancillary documents.
*
Conduct legal due diligence, populate data rooms, and advise on key risks.
*
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, AML, and corporate governance requirements.
*
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts aligned with client objectives.
*
Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming a key business advisor.
*
Participate in business development: networking, seminars, and thought leadership.
Requirements:
*
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent).
*
7+ years PQE in corporate law at a reputable law firm.
*
Broad corporate law expertise, including regulatory compliance and AML.
*
Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
*
Experience managing complex transactions and multiple priorities.
*
Ability to work independently and lead a team.
*
Client following preferred but not essential.
