Sessional Counsellor (Counselling for Depression – CfD)
Location: Hertfordshire – Hybrid
Contract: Sessional
Hours: Flexible 6 days per week - Monday to Saturday
Commitment: Minimum 6 sessions per week
Role Overview
We are seeking qualified Counsellors for Depression (CfD) to deliver short-term, evidence-based therapy within the NHS Talking Therapies framework. This sessional role offers flexibility and autonomy, with the opportunity to provide meaningful support to adults experiencing common mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities

Conducting clinical assessments and delivering CfD therapy sessions.

Supporting clients using the Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD) model.
*
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records on digital systems.
*
Working collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, and partner services.
*
Engaging in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development.
Candidate Requirements
*
BACP membership (accredited or working towards accreditation).
*
Qualification in CfD.
*
Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification counselling experience.
*
Experience providing time-limited counselling interventions.
*
Competence in delivering remote therapy with strong IT skills
