Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring accurate and timely receipt, storage, and despatch of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork. The working hours are 7.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Must have a valid Counterbalance FLT and your own transport due to location

Responsibilities

  * Goods Receiving: Accurately receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods, checking for discrepancies or damage and logging them into the warehouse management system.

  * Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick and prepare orders for despatch according to company procedures and customer requirements

  * Forklift Operation: Operate various types of Forklift Trucks (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach, safely and competently for moving, stacking, and retrieving goods.

  * Inventory Management Assist with regular stock checks

Required Skills & Qualifications

  * Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative.

  * FLT Licence: Valid and in-date Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach, VNA - specify as appropriate).

  * A strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.

  * Meticulous attention to detail for accurate picking, packing, and inventory management.

  * Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

  * Good verbal and written communication skills.

  * Basic numeracy and literacy skills for documentation and record-keeping
