Counterbalance FLT Driver - Nights – Severnside (BS35)
Salary: £26,206 + 33% shift allowance = £34,853 per year
Shifts: Sun - Thurs (10pm-6am)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Severnside, BS35 4GH (commutable from Bristol, Avonmouth, Thornbury, Filton, Yate, Chepstow, Newport & surrounding areas)

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver to join CHEP – the global leader in pallet, crate, and container pooling. You’ll be working with 4.5-ton triple fork vehicles in a busy yard environment, loading/unloading HGVs and moving pallet stacks.
What you’ll do
* Safely operate FLT trucks to support production & haulier operations
* Direct visiting vehicles during loading & unloading
* Maintain smooth flow on production lines within agreed SLAs
* Assist with manual inspection & repair of equipment in the yard
* Report any damage or operational issues promptly
* Handle and rotate stock safely and efficiently
What we need from you
* Experience as a Counterbalance FLT Driver (busy yard/HGV loading preferred)
* External FLT licence (RTITB or ITSSAR) is ideal – in-house licences considered
* Experience with double/triple fork FLTs = big advantage
* Safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
