Job Summary

The Counterbalance Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials within a warehouse or distribution environment. The role ensures efficient handling of goods while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Operate a counterbalance forklift to load, unload, transport, and stack materials safely and efficiently

  * 

    Move goods to and from storage areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and production lines

  * 

    Inspect forklifts daily and report maintenance or safety issues promptly

  * 

    Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance as required

  * 

    Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to company procedures

  * 

    Assist with inventory control, stock counts, and stock rotation

  * 

    Ensure goods are stored correctly and securely to prevent damage

  * 

    Follow all company health and safety regulations and warehouse procedures

  * 

    Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  * 

    Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements

  * 

    Valid counterbalance forklift certification/license

  * 

    Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift (typically 1+ year preferred)

  * 

    Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to [insert weight, e.g., 25kg/50lbs])

  * 

    Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices
