JOB TITLE - COUNTER BALANCE FORKLIFT DRIVER

Job Summary:
We are currently representing a role on behalf of our industry leading client at their site in Birmingham.
*
This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leading business at their growing site in Birmingham as a Counterbalance FLT Driver in a role where you would work a Monday to Friday days shit pattern.
Main Duties:
*
Load/unload shipments, verify materials, stock items and maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and system transactions.
*
Pick, pack and prepare orders for shipment or production.
*
Operate forklifts and related machinery to move and store goods safely.
*
Operate packaging and labeling machinery; support preventative maintenance and ensure correct placement of raw materials and finished goods.
*
Follow all H&S regulations, wear required PPE, and take responsibility for own and others’ safety; actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
*
Communicate effectively across departments; support customer returns and cover for other operators during absence or as needed.
Person Specification:
* Counterbalance Licence in date.
* Experience within a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
* Ability to learn warehousing principles and practices.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
* Basic PC skills.
* Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive directionBefore You Apply
