Job Description
On behalf of our client, a leading national distributor of screws, we are recruiting for a temporary Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their busy warehouse team in Essex.
This is a dual-role position where you will primarily work within the Goods-In & Stock Control teams operating a Counterbalance forklift, while also stepping in as a Van Driver for multi-drop deliveries across Essex, East London, South West London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and surrounding areas.
Key Duties and responsibilities:
Multi-drop deliveries to trade customers
Conducting vehicle safety checks and reporting issues
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
Using delivery apps and mobile devices for PODs and updates
Providing excellent customer service on delivery routes
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift (RTITB accredited)
Replenishing and rotating stock
Accurate checking in and out of deliveries
Maintaining a tidy, safe, and efficient warehouse
Assisting with stock takes and inter-departmental stock movements
Manual handling and lifting boxes up to 25kg
Supporting other departments and sites when requiredThe hours of work are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
