Senior Court Officer – Birmingham Children’s Trust
Fox Morris Group are working to recruit a Senior Court Officer
Role Purpose:
Will be expected to represent child throughout court proceedings, liaise with professionals and service the courts.
Would require at least two years youth justice/youth justice court work experience.
This role will require to work weekends/bank holidays on a rota basis.
This role is an in person role and will be required to attend the office on a daily basis at Victoria Law Courts Birmingham.
* To represent the Youth Justice Service and promote it’s aims within the Court setting including the preparation and presentation of verbal and written reports to aid the Court in its deliberations whilst providing where necessary support to peers.
* Work as part of a multi-agency service to improve and develop the provision of Youth Justice Services to children, young people, victims and their families, complying with legislative requirements and in accordance with evidence-based practice.
* To act as an advisor to Court and the wider YJS in matters relating to Court whilst always maintaining and promoting the standards required by the Service including oversight and quality assurance of work produced by Court peers.
* Under guidance from the Team Manager, support the development of others to fully understand their roles and responsibilities in relation to children appearing before Court including taking lead role in inductions, shadowing and training in accordance with statutory/regulatory and operational standards, policy, and procedures for the service.
