We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Cover Manager to coordinate daily staff cover arrangements and ensure continuity of learning across the school. This is a key operational role requiring excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and organise daily cover for absent teaching staff, including liaising with supply agencies and internal staff.
Maintain accurate records of staff absence and cover arrangements.
Ensure cover work is prepared and distributed appropriately.
Support the smooth running of the school day by responding to cover needs promptly.
Liaise with senior leaders, HR, and teaching staff to ensure effective deployment of cover supervisors and supply staff.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cover provision.
Essential Requirements:
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
Proficiency in using management information systems and Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
Experience coordinating staff or managing rotas.
Understanding of safeguarding and school operations.
