Permanent Cover Supervisor - Secondary School - Taunton 🌟
Are you passionate about education and confident in leading a classroom? A welcoming secondary school in Taunton is seeking a full-time Cover Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30
💰 Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)
📍 Location: Taunton, Somerset
🎯 Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You'll be delivering pre-set work across core subjects including English, Maths, and Science, with opportunities to cover specialist subjects depending on your background and interests.
✅ Responsibilities:
Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences
Ensure students remain on task with the work set
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Support students with their learning where appropriate
Liaise with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery
👤 Ideal Candidate:
Confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic
Experience working with young people (e.g. in education, youth work, coaching)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A genuine interest in supporting students' education
Degree holders or those with subject specialisms are encouraged to apply

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
