Job Description

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of welcoming and supportive schools across Chelmsford and surrounding areas.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, supporting pupil development, and creating a positive learning environment. This role is perfect for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers seeking flexible supply work, long-term placements, or permanent primary teaching positions.

By joining our team as a Cover Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in young learners’ education, helping them grow academically and socially in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all pupils
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and leadership teams

Requirements

Experience teaching in UK schools (KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4)
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A passion for education and child development
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
