Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools

Burnley & Surrounding Areas
 Day-to-Day Supply | Flexible Work

Are you looking to gain valuable experience in secondary education or seeking flexible work within local schools? We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to provide day-to-day classroom cover across secondary schools in Burnley and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on task
Maintain a positive learning environment and uphold school behaviour policies
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the dayThis is an ideal role for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education staff looking for flexible work.

Requirements

Experience working with young people (school, youth work, coaching, or similar)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Confidence working with pupils aged 11-16 (KS3 & KS4)
A professional, calm, and reliable approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
