Prospero Teaching is recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Dorset from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, or other education-based careers.

Your Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring learning continues when teachers are absent. You will:
Lead lessons using pre-prepared teaching materials
Maintain a positive, focused, and engaging classroom environment
Support students in completing tasks and achieving learning objectives
Manage behaviour confidently and professionally
Ensure continuity of learning across a range of subjects
Build positive relationships with students and staff

Design & Technology
ICT / Computer Science

Art & Performing Arts

Experience & Qualifications
We welcome applicants with:
Experience working with young people in schools, coaching, tutoring, youth work, or similar settings
A degree or strong academic background (preferred but not essential)
Safeguarding training (desirable, but training can be provided)
What You'll Need
Right to Work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two recent professional references
