GSL Education are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Cover Supervisor (CS) to work within schools in the Sheffield (S9) area. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a passion for education to gain classroom experience or return to a school-based role.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and complete set work in a calm and focused environment.
Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
Supervise students across various subjects with pre-set lesson plans.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and professionally.
Provide assistance to students with their learning where appropriate.
Report any incidents, progress, or concerns to relevant staff.
Uphold school policies and promote a positive classroom ethos.
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is desirable.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a classroom and remain calm under pressure.
A flexible and proactive approach to education support.
Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
