The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences by delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
About the Role:
Location: Beautifully situated in the green suburbs of Cheshire East
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Duration: Ongoing, with potential for long-term or permanent placement
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time (term time only)
Daily Rate: £90 - £110, dependent on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Ensuring pupils remain on task and complete set work
Reporting back to the relevant teaching staff on pupil engagement and behaviour
Providing support where necessary to help students access learning
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have prior experience working with secondary-age students (e.g. in a school, youth work or tutoring capacity)
Be confident managing behaviour and engaging with young people
Be adaptable, proactive, and calm under pressure
Possess a good standard of education (minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths)
Hold a valid DBS certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
