As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring continuity in the classroom when teachers are absent. You won’t need to plan lessons or mark work — instead, you’ll deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour, and keep the classroom running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing as a Cover Supervisor:
Delivering lessons based on pre-set plans in a variety of subjects
Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students engaged
Working across multiple departments and year groups (ages 11–16+)
Acting as a positive role model and maintaining a focused learning environment
Communicating effectively with staff and students alike
We’re looking for Cover Supervisors who:
Have a CACHE Level 2/3 qualification or at least 6 months of experience in a classroom setting
Are confident leading a classroom of secondary students
Have great communication and behaviour management skills
Are flexible and ready to adapt in a fast-paced school environment
