Cover Supervisor Location: Hull Salary: £99 – £125 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time Are you confident, adaptable, and eager to support students in a school environment? GSL Education are currently seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Hull starting in September 2025. This is a great opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking to take on a classroom-based role. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher. You will manage behaviour, ensure that pupils remain on task, and support the overall learning environment. Full support and training will be provided to help you succeed in this rewarding role. Main Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor: Supervise pupils during the absence of the regular class teacher Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure continuity of learning Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil participation and behaviour Support pupils with questions and encourage active engagement in learning Uphold safeguarding and health and safety standards within the classroom Cover Supervisor (CS) Requirements: Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting as a Cover Supervisor or similar Strong classroom presence and the ability to manage groups of pupils effectively Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills A flexible and proactive approach to working across different subjects and year groups A degree or Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education Why Join GSL Education?
