GSL Education is currently recruiting an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work in a supportive secondary school located in Crowle, starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are looking to gain experience in a classroom environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-planned lessons to students across various subjects
Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively
Support students with their work and answer questions where appropriate
Report any issues or achievements to the relevant teaching staff
Ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout lessons
Requirements:
Experience working with young people is desirable (e.g. youth work, mentoring, tutoring)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A calm, flexible, and confident approach
An interest in education and student development
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
