GSL Education is currently seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Grimsby .This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, especially for those considering a future in teaching or education support.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to supervise pre-set lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and engaged in their learning.
Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise class activities in the absence of the regular teacher
Ensure a positive learning environment is maintained
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Support students with their learning and encourage classroom participation
Requirements:
Experience working with young people or within a school setting is desirable
Confident, professional, and able to lead a classroom independently
Strong communication and organisational skills
A genuine interest in education and student development
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
