Classroom Cover Supervisor:
Smile Education is working closely with a welcoming secondary school in the Sheldon area of Birmingham, who are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2025. This can be on a flexible basis for full or part time workers.
If you’re looking to gain valuable classroom experience and enjoy supporting young people in their learning, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you!
Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Supervise lessons across a range of subjects using pre-set lesson plans
Manage classroom behaviour and keep students on task
Support students’ learning and engagement during teacher absences
Work with KS3 and KS4 pupils in a friendly and supportive environmentThis role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced cover supervisors, or anyone with classroom experience looking for regular, rewarding work.
We’re Looking For: ✅ Strong communication and classroom management skills
✅ Confidence working with secondary-aged students
✅ Previous experience in a school setting is beneficial but not essential
✅ A proactive, flexible attitude and a passion for education
