Are you passionate about supporting education and eager to make a difference in the classroom? GSL Education London Branch is looking for dedicated Cover Supervisors to join some of the outstanding secondary schools in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in schools, enhance your teaching skills, and inspire the next generation.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
Supervise whole classes during teachers' absences, ensuring students remain focused and productive.
Deliver pre-set lesson plans and materials provided by the school.
Support students’ learning and behaviour while maintaining a positive classroom environment.
Manage classroom resources and ensure a safe and tidy workspace.
Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and behaviour.
Requirements for the Cover Supervisor role:
Previous experience working with young people is advantageous (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, or coaching).
Confidence in managing a classroom and engaging with students.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
