Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full Time / Part Time – Flexible
We are seeking confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced classroom supervisors to gain valuable school-based experience while supporting students’ learning.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the teacher.
*
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
*
Support pupils to stay on task and engage with their learning.
*
Follow school policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
*
Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.
Requirements:
*
Previous experience working with young people (desirable, but not essential).
*
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
*
Ability to engage and motivate students.
*
Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach.
*
Degree or equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential).
The applicant:
* Classroom experience or training is an advantage but not essential
* Be able to communicate effectively with pupils and other staff members
* Will be able to create an exciting and safe learning environment
* Will adhere to professional education guidelines
* Be committed to the school’s objectives and their ethos by following school policies such as behaviour
* Must be reliable and responsible with good time management skills
