Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable, confident, and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a well-regarded secondary school in Doncaster on a long-term, full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive and well-structured school environment.
The role is available immediately and is offered on a PAYE basis – meaning no umbrella fees and full transparency with your pay.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher.
Maintain a positive and focused learning environment for students.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and progress.
Supervise and support students during classwork and transitions between lessons.
Uphold the school’s values, safeguarding, and behaviour expectations at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with secondary school-aged children (either in a school, youth work, or tutoring capacity).
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to different subject areas.
A confident and approachable manner with a genuine interest in education.
A valid DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
Right to work in the UK.
