About the Role
The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Rainhill High School to recruit passionate and confident Cover Supervisors. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to gain school-based experience, support pupils’ learning, and make a difference in a vibrant secondary school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that pupils remain engaged with their work and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Provide support and encouragement to students across a variety of subjects.
Adapt to different classroom environments and year groups.
Report back to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and behaviour.
Requirements
Previous experience working with young people (school-based or other relevant settings).
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to engage and motivate students.
Flexible and proactive approach.
A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
