Job Description
Take your first step into teaching with Local Education as a Cover Supervisor in Bury St Edmunds.
This role is ideal for graduates, sports coaches, youth workers, or anyone with transferable experience working with young people. You will supervise classes during teacher absence, deliver pre-prepared lessons, and maintain a positive learning environment. There is no lesson planning or marking required, making it a great introduction to teaching.

Key responsibilities:
* Supervising classes in the teacher’s absence
* Delivering pre-set work and keeping students on task
* Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining classroom order
