Cover Supervisor
Are you a student/trainee Teacher looking to expand on your classroom experience?
Are you looking for a career within education?
Leader Education are actively recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work within secondary schools across Leeds, West Yorkshire after the October half term break.
A Cover Supervisor covers Teacher absences, your role will be to deliver the pre-planned work set by the Teacher. Your job is to ensure all pupils stay on task and complete the work that has been set. To respond to questions and deal with any immediate problems in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.
This is the ideal role for those on a pathway to becoming a qualified teacher. It is a great opportunity to gain more experience and build up your skills.
You are not required to assess, mark or plan any lessons.
This is a flexible role that can fit around your studies or any other commitments you may have.

YOU:
Experience of working in an environment with children or teenagers either in an education, youth, or care setting
A positive, energetic personality
A flexible, adaptable approach
Have confidence to manage the classroom
Be approachable
The means to get to local schools for early starts (typically 8:15am starts)
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or happy to apply for a new one through Leader Education.
