This thriving secondary school in the M9 area of Manchester seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join the dedicated Humanities department. You’ll be delivering pre-planned lessons, guiding pupils in their learning, and helping to maintain a positive, purposeful classroom environment when teaching staff are absent.
📍 Location: M9, Manchester
💰 Competitive daily rate: £90–£150
🎓 Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
Cover Supervisor – Who we’re looking for:
Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in an educational setting
Strong subject knowledge in Humanities (History, Geography, RS, English Literature)
Ability to manage a classroom confidently and deliver pre-planned lessons
A professional, calm communicator who can build positive relationships
Two education-based references
A full enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
A proactive, reliable, and positive attitude
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging pre-prepared lessons across KS3 & KS4
Create and maintain a calm, purposeful classroom environment
Monitor and encourage positive behaviour in line with school policies
Support students in meeting their learning objectives
Provide clear feedback to teaching staff after lessons
