Location: Wakefield and surrounding areas
Salary: £162 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Flexible – Full-time / Part-time / Day-to-day
About the Role
Milk Education are working in partnership with a number of supportive secondary schools across Wakefield, and we are looking to recruit passionate and adaptable Cover Teachers to join our supply team.
This role is ideal for qualified teachers seeking flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a positive impact across a range of school settings. Whether you’re looking for full-time work, regular part-time placements, or ad-hoc supply, we can find opportunities that match your availability.
As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects using pre-prepared resources.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
Support students to remain focused and on task throughout the lesson.
Adapt to different school environments with professionalism and confidence.
Provide constructive feedback to departments where required.
About You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach.
Previous experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting (desirable).
