This is a thriving secondary school in the BL6 area of Bolton seeking enthusiastic Cover Teachers to join the dedicated team. You’ll be delivering pre-planned lessons, guiding pupils in their learning, and helping to maintain a positive, purposeful classroom environment when teaching staff are absent.
📍 Location: BL6, Bolton
💰 Competitive daily rate: £90–£150
🎓 Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
Cover Teacher – Who we’re looking for:
Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in an educational setting (or transferable experience from youth work, coaching, mentoring etc.)
Strong subject knowledge in STEM or Humanities (e.g., Maths, Science, History, Geography, Religious Studies, English Literature)
Confidence to manage a classroom and deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons
A professional, calm communicator who can build positive relationships
Two education-based references
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
A proactive, reliable, and supportive attitude
Recent graduates are warmly encouraged to apply
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, pre-prepared lessons across KS3 & KS4
Maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment
Encourage positive behaviour and support students in achieving their goals
Provide clear feedback to teaching staff after lessons
